Hydrant Flushing will take place between Monday, March 31 and Friday, April 4, 2025. You may experience some discoloration following the flushing, so make sure to run your water until it clears up.
Due to the Infrastructure Project, the entrance into the compost site has been moved beginning in April. Please watch for the posted signs.
The Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Silver Lake will meet on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6:00pm in the Silver Lake Auditorium located at 320 Main Street W., in the lower level. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor's office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the Local board of Appeal and Equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.
